After years of Oklahoma’s infamous storms and decrease in popularity taking their toll, the Winchester Drive In, located at 6930 S. Western, is the final remaining drive-in in Oklahoma City, built in 1968. It has been in continuous operation since then under the ownership of the Shanbour brothers. Although urban sprawl has developed the once empty land around the Winchester, the 475 car capacity lot is fenced in and still has a number of tall full trees surrounding, so that once a patron has entered the lot, it feels secluded. A cash only operation, admission is $6 per adult and $3 for children 3-10 years of age. For more information, visit http://www.winchesterdrive-in.com or call 405-631-8852.
